Jane Smith has dedicated her career to getting results and making a difference for our community. As a teacher, principal and former superintendent of the Bossier school system, Jane Smith has led the way on education reform. While superintendent, the Bossier school system consistently remained in the top 10% in academic performance. As a result, in 1999,Smith was named the Louisiana School Superintendent of the Year.
Jane Smith currently serves in the Louisiana House of Representatives where she has been recognized as a leader on issues concerning business, particularly the natural gas and movie industries. Rep. Smith has also worked to reduce taxes, create jobs and cut government waste. We need her energy, drive and conservative principles working for us in the State Senate.
